Unlike other Footie sims where you can controll all the players by switching the cursor, you must make sure you stay in your position, stay open, call for the ball and you only controll one player.
So basically you take on the role of a young footie wannabe who eventually signs up to a youth team (you pick) which you watch in a cut scene and you must train and play in the matchs and eat the right stuff and make sure you have the best equipment (a bit like on mario tennis GBC) until you are promoted to the official squad. If you are not picked within the first year you must start again as a different character.
Once you are promoted to official squad you have completed it but you can still come back to the game and play on the squad, win awards if you want to and maybe even become manager.
