I've never been so hungover in my life, I never get them but this morning I was couldn't get up or drink or eat.

A hangover is the result of increased acetaldehyde levels in the body, acetaldehyde is rather toxic so you feel quite bad.

chemicals are depleted in your brain, and you need to replace them. that's why eating a good fry up or something will make you feel better, it replaces chemicals lacking in your blood/brain.

Drink water, apparently a hangover is not having enough water for your Krebs Cycles to turn.

yeah but it's not always possible. I don't think your boss would appreciate you knocking back shots of tequila at dinner break in order to lessen your suffering ... :)

The only cure for a hangover is more booze. Trust me. I went down to my Aunts in England for a 60th birthday or something and I got slaughtered 3 days running and it wasn't till I spent a day of not drinking on the 4th that I got a hangover. It was my own fault though. I was killing about a litre of vodka with god knows how many red bulls a night and drinking beers all day. I felt sick muchly on the forth day.

Back when I was in the SAS, we got half an hour here, half an hour there, in between hiking 600 miles in under 5 hours. And we didn't whinge either.

Yes, only. I need more sleep then that. I also have the begining of a cold.
