Eyes blink once, a millisecond of sleep.
No more, no more, I find my feet.
The stairs sway in the cool night breeze. Clouds roll in, thoughts grow, heart blooms.
The steady, easy breaths run ragged razors through the past.
Skewer the shell of the shade of the soul.
Lost, lost. Lost for deeds.
Lost, lost, steady bleeds.
Pooling, routing, sheathing, shooting.
Heart shadow.
Breath.
A beam of moonlight stays my only friend,
Heavy in the lounge.
Dark, dark, flashing neon clock.
She, only she.
Craving - sleeping, waking craving.
Craving hangs on the back of the door.
Hung and drawn, childish scrawl.
No more.

Through the stake, the late, the tarnished fake. Drag out, steady, through the door.
Silent sound, screaming silent sleep.
Mulch, mulch stone bird bath.
Ivy strewn bench. Haven, heaven.

Some nice alliteration and clever parallelism there ~ the rhyme scheme was a little unsteady though, were you looking for a fixed pattern because I didn't see one?
