The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Here's the deal:
1) Stories must be on the topic set, which is "The Magic Monkey"
2) The story should be less than 1500 words
3) Posts in a seperate topic should contain "Short Story Competition" in the title.
If this is successful then perhaps someone else can start off another topic for the next competition.
[Perhaps everyone who entered gets to vote for their favourite story]
And we will take it in turns choosing a topic to write about. :-D
Thanks pb.
I loved that little monkey, and it was tough to see him go through so much.
I'll start a new topic later in the week detailing the subject of the next competition...
Everyone is fussing over the notable election
Do it!
very rarely do I post a story or poem in here but I felt that I wanted ot today.
Please honest opinions, it differs so much from my 'norm' i really do not care if it stinks of manure!
Much love the ginger one
I did try to write something, but it just didn't work. Not one bit.
Shame.
But I'm writing The Jeebus Chronicles now, so blarg to you all anyway.
Muhahhah..
Meka has to choose the next theme now. :D Your powers are weak, old Ben.
Black Glove's entry was probably one of the weirdest stories I've read in a long time, I loved it, Spoonbeast's story was a great take on a gangster style story, with what felt like Indiana Jones overtones.
Grix gave us a great little head-twister of a tale which had a good ending (glad you kept the doctor's report in at the end there, Grix) and Paradox provided the sci-fi element with giant Mechanical killing machines, great description of them, by the way.
But I think, for pure empathy for its main character Meka's story really made it and this is the reason I'm giving Meka the prize for the Codename:Magic Monkey, the story of Marko. Well done Meka!
