Right, for a friend of mine, can soneone please explain how to cancel a 2 month trial (before it finishes) so that you do not get charged.
He says that if he decides to carry on with a full year, then he'll cancel the trial and get a starter kit, for the headset etc.
Any help would be nice.

True, that's how I did it and got 14 months instead of 12. 1 2 month trial and then add a 12 month starter kit on top...
Yes it can be done. I've done it on my Sister's account (satan's little helper).
Go into Account Management and find the subscription area where you can put in a code, put the code from the Starter Kit in and there you go. Done.
The only method that doesn't work is the one where you put free trials onto the end of a Starter Kit sub.

I've looked around a bit, and apparently this cannot be done, in the same way that you cannot use a trial to extend your normal LIVE account.
