Sorry yes it was, don't know why I was putting Man Utd, its because I was reading about Ronhaldino on his was to Newcastle only for my mate to start talking about Man Utd for some unkown reason.

Shearer was also consistent at international level: 36 goals from 60 games or something like that. What's really surprising is that firstly, he retired internationally at only 30, and secondly that he scored on his debut but had to wait another 5 games to score again.

He really should reconsider his international retirement. Still a great striker, despite a lean patch recently.

Shearer has never had flair but as a gutsy striker who will get inolved with all aspects of play as well as score a range of bloody amazing to 2 yard tap ins he is quite frankly one of the best the game has ever seen. His record speaks for itself, thats not just good thats bloody amazing, he averages roughly a goal every other game and has done since he started his career with a hat trick against Man Utd down at Southampton.

No-one has said that Shearer isn't 'good'. The comment was that he was over-rated. You can be good and still be over-rated.

The fact that Shearer is 'the best England has produced in years' I don't dispute. It's the very fact that he is the best England has seen that is (part of) the reason England haven't come close to winning a trophy since 1966. As with most of our players, it's a case of "good, but not good enough".

As much as we like to build up our football players, the fact is that they don't come close to "the foreigners" in terms of flair or natural ability.

Despite your stupid comment on Shearer I do agree with this. They were as much to blame by the sounds of it but like Micky Adams said tonight. the ones that respect him were out there today and the 3 that appear not to are currently reviewing their futures. The way he said it made it seem like they won't be putting on a shirt for the club under Micky Adams although in their current situation I find it hard to see that he is any sort of position to emit players (albeit good ones as well) from the team sheet. Its not over yet but I don't think anything will happen outside of the club in terms of discipline.

How many times has Dickov been before a court, or subject to an internal enquiry? He turns up at trainings drunk, he causes havock whenever the team go away anywhere.

I think I am going to have to agree with you. It is publicity on someone's behalf along the line, and/or money for the same people.

It was like the rape case not so long ago, it turned out that there was nothing in it, just the womam (accusor) wanting a bit of publicity, and a hell of a lot of money from the papers.

So yeh, I'm not sure, but then again Dickov is a right b*****d and a lout, so I wouldn't be surprised if he had been up to something.
