Yo yo yo,
Im starting to get more interested in PC games and would like to play
mor but the bad thing is that I have a Dell Dimension 2400 and it comes with an Intergrated 64MB Graphics card and i have been told that I can only buy a PCI card or something...
Could you recommend me a good one that would play games such as Half Life 2, Doom 3 etc for a roughly cheap price.

Cheers

Can i ask what sort of budget your looking at? as it will help.

EDIT: Yeah it comes with 3 PCI slots

The best i could find PCI wise was:

XFX Geforce Fx5200 256 MB PCI Graphics Card for £72 from special reserve.

I'd go for the one from special reserve if i was you.

These ones below are the 2 best PCI from Novatech:

XFX GeForce FX5200 128MB DDR TV-Out PCI for around £50 it's not a great card but only having a PCI slot limits you alot.

If you prefer ATI

ATI Radeon 9250 GPU 128MB DDR DVI TVO** PCI ** Graphics Card is around £40

Yep, i'd go with those if you want to play minesweeper, possibly freecell.

Actually, the Radeon 9200 w/ 32MB is capable of running a well detailed 3D game with no dropped frame rate.

I won't name the game because, you know, you'll laugh.

Just some game on the Mac. As I said, you'll laugh at it. But it's still technically competent for modern-ish games.

Meh.

I had the same Dell PC... Threw it out, spent 400 on a decent rig and I was much happier. 256 RAM, 2.6/2.8 Prescott... Get a new mobo, 2x 512 of PC3200 RAM, and possibly a new processor and hard-drive - DELL HDD's generally brake as soon as you try to move them...
