RRRRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!
DON'T pick your teams yet. This thread is merely to generate interest (which it seemingly has done). So, until everything is refined, and I've decided the way it's going to work and so forth, Do not pick your teams yet.
Comprendé?
:)

Sorry GP. :)

Right - it's just an idea.
But how would you like an SR F1 style FIFA tournament?

I've got FIFA 04, and it's pish easy to modify the stats of teams and players - so that everything'd be equal, just like with GP's... GP 4.

It'd basically be like this.
You'd all pick your teams. You'd get points and so forth for goals, wins, and all the usual malarky.
And then the predictions - most goals scored, first goal scored by, and so on so forth.

I'll refine it all and plan it if it gets a good enough respons.
I'll basically do a match every week/half week, and give you plenty of warning. Once all the teams are picked, I'd randomize the order of play and who you play and stuff, and then I'd post the results, and a brief description of what all happened.

I really think it could work well, considering the simplicity of it all.

Any questions, just ask.

And again, sorry Grandprix for ripping you and your idea off completely.

*Points to original thread*

I've been forced to use the new edit malarky.

Like I said earlier, though, those who are known to be diehard fans will get priority, eg, Virtuoso with that... rubbishy... scouser lot...

Rightio.

You all pick a team - those who are fans of a certain team through and through probably get priority over others (ie, Virtuoso with the Scousers) - and, just like with GP and SR F1, I play a match through the comp every week/half week (depending if loads of folk get interested).

You don't play at all, but if your team that you've selected wins, you get extra points, as well as the ones you may or may not win with your predictions.
You predict every match (if you want, that is).
