The class before the one Im in now, he sat next to me and talked AT me about stuff I care nothing for. Throughout the class, he continually and annoyingly tapped me on my arm to talk about the most pointless things. Not being bothered about him or his stupid questions, I just nodded along. So that class goes by, and in the next one the guy sits next to me AGAIN. This time, being particularly annoyed that he'd follow me, I almost refused to aknowledge him, not even looking at him just out of fustration at his stupid questions about the work we're doing. He soon gets bored and decides to leave but not without getting his little comment in first:
"cya tomorrow.....you're a barrel of laughs"
THE MORON. I have to put up with a little comment like this and he can just walk off?!? It made me, and still makes me, want to see him choke on his own blood when I stomp on his neck - IDIOT. WHAT AM I, HIS JESTER OR SOMETHING? I should be given a gun to swiftly dispatch the morons. But of course, I have to sit idly by and wait for the feeling of rage and anger to pass. I wish people would just keep their mouths shut, I'd rather be alone forever than have to deal with a moron for 5 minutes....
Just had to get that off my chest.

Why on earth didn't you just say "I'm trying to work / listen to the lecturer here, can you please be quiet?"
If he didn't, move seats.
Problem solved. Christ. Nowt like making a mountain out of a molehill.
" We do but we're sold out "
" Are you sure? "
" Yes, I checked earlier "
" Can you check again please? "

I feel for you, I really do.
I work in Sainsbury's, and my 8 hours I day I have to put with cretins who are either frustratingly stupid or relentlessly arrogant.
For example:
woman - "Do you sell frozen ice?"
me - "...well we don't sell it warm."
And again:
woman - "I'm looking for frozen diced onions."
me - "Sorry, we don't stock those."
woman - "Well I bought them here last week."
me - "No you didn't, 'cos we didn't stock them last week either."
woman - "I DEFINATELY BOUGHT THEM HERE!!!"
Followed by 5 minutes of her ranting on about how the fact we don't stock said product is MY fault and I should be ashamed of how I'm running the company (despite the fact that I don't order the stuff in, I don't decide what we do or do not stock, and I do NOT run the goddamn company). Freakin' morons drive me insane.
Not usually all people, but often most of them :^)
From the context of your post it might have sounded like a bit of an over-reaction - though maybe your history makes it understandable.
But couldn't you have just politely told him you wanted to concentrate on your work?
Thanks for the posts though guys - nice hustle.

oooh teachers pet!
I can imagine you being like that guy off Road Trip - y'know, the one who thinks he is the teacher .....
;D
