Right a little bit about my set up.
I have a broadband router which my PC, Modem and a wireless access point are plugged into. My laptop uses the wireless network and so does my dads.
I also have a cable running through the roof into my room, its connected to the router and the other end is connected to my PS2. The cable wasn't long enough so I bought an extension and a plug that joins the 2 cables together. Problem is one of the cables broke so I had to tape it onto the plug.

Now it works but when the cable comes loose it disconnects my PS2. Annoying trying to get it to work.

So I am considering getting my PS2 onto the wireless network. Have seen a few devices that claim to do this but I'm not sure if there is a cheaper alternative way to do it. The one I had looked at was this one http://www.dabs.com/uk/productView.htm?quicklinx=2SFB .

£60 seems a bit expensive or is it?
I was wondering if there was any other ways to do it?

Thanks

That £60 thingy you linked to is incredibly ugly.

Avoid connecting your console wirelessly unless you have 802.11g.

Dosn't matter anymore

Replaced the tape with a lot more tape and it seems pretty secure now.

It is actually really easy to remake the end of a network cable, although you do need a £25 tool. You can get the tool and a few new cable-ends from Maplins.

Hey,
£60 is expensive for something like that and the reliability of a wireless adapter is pretty bad. I suggest just buying some new cable and swapping it with the damaged one.
Hope this helps,
James

... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
