The Observer's review came with some interviews with various Iraqi people.
There seemed to be a mix of people, some who thought that the invasion was good, some bad, and some mixed.

I've not got time to go into great detail at the minute (I'll come on again later) but I thought I'd mention it now so people could go out and buy it still if they were interested.

The general opinion was that Saddam being gone is a good thing, because it means that things are changing and that there's hope for the future.
They're not so chuffed with the American liberators who seem to be treating it more like an invasion, refusing to work with the locals and pointing a rifle towards anyone they odn't trust and shooting randomly if an incident breaks out.

Some of them made it clear that they were anti-American, and that they admired western culture otherwise, but lived in fear of the coalition forces governing them, and they're certain the liberation was FAR from their main objective.

It's best to read it for yourself to get a proper opinion.
I'll be back later.
