Stripped of the things that give us the will to carry on,
Robbed of the soul by those with none.
What went wrong in the course of life,
That would cause such anguish,
Such distress that will only be ignored,
By the god that thinks he's above us.
When will people learn,
And stop fooling themselves;
There's no-one higher who will help us,
No high presence that can possibly take charge,
But to simply appease our own wrath.
I don't want to be the last man standing,
The one to witness more pain than the rest of us,
The unlucky man to spectate the losing match,
Between Man and itself.

Priorities, eh?
Nice read.
The inspiration came soon after listening to a short acoustic song;
Queen - Is This The World We Created
If you listen you'll agree it's a nice song to listen to.
