The film, directed by Steven Spielberg, is one of the greatest Blockbuster smashes of all time, making loads of money simply because it is an amazing film. I must have seen it about 5 times, but its still worth watching. Directed superbly, I can't believe how well the actors playing the dinosaurs performed were in the film, they really were effective! But really, the way each dinosaur looked 'real' (although I've never seen a real dinosaur is quite simply stunning. The graphical technologies used at the time would not look out of place in a film released today.
The film stars Sam Neil, Richard or David Attenbrough (I can't remember which and I cannot spell the last name, sorry!) as well as Jeff Goldbloom and many others like that bloke from 3rd Rock from the sun (plays Dennis Nedry). I have to say that the acting is very good through out.
There is a lot of action in Jurassic Park - right from the start to the very end, you won't get bored watching it as the film provides edge of your seat tension and drama without being too scary for children. The storyline is superb, and the twists and turns in the plot make for an all round excellent viewing, which isn't at all predictable the first time that you see it.
You really do have to admire the film, and appreciate the quality and substance to it. I highly recommend that you see Jurassic Park if you missed it at the cinema then you're unlucky because a huge screen and Superb sound system are the absolute essentials when watching this film (so go and get your home cinema set now!). There is some brilliant music in the film from a famous composer (whose name I do not know), the sound track is great also.
The whole idea of the film is to try to put across the idea that resurrecting dinosaurs with the help of Dinosaur DNA contained inside tiny mosquitos (trapped in tree sap) could lead to catastrophic happenings. Possibly. A very magical film!
A brilliant film that can be watched and enjoyed by all, Jurassic Park is a must see!
