"Keane: Somewhere Only We Know"

I had never heard of Keane before I saw his music video for this song last night and instantly loved this song. It's great! Pure and simple, there is nothing to debate about it. I was wondering what everyone else thinks about it though and if they know any background knowledge about him, maybe some older/newer songs hes done? Thanks.

Run sounds like early Radiohead to me. The latest Snow Patrol album, Final Straw, is being loved because of Run, but it's How To Be Dead that's the stand-out track on that album, IMHO. I've got their 2nd album as well, Songs for Polarbears, and it's far more lively and 'rocking'. Still prefer Final Straw though.

Their album's out later this year.
It'll sell billions, for sure.

The song is really good, but I think it's there first release.

I'm going to see Travis and they're supporting, so it should be good.

I described 'Run', or whatever it's called as 'Coldplay, from their first album'.

But, from the other Snow Patrol songs, they don't seem to be a ccoldplay rip-off.

And Keane?
Feck, i hate that song.

And the video makes me want to hurt them even more.

The one that Cub!st's on about? Haven't heard it yet, but I was thinking that a new Snow Patrol song sounded identical to Coldplay, the video too, the way he moves his head.. everything is like Coldplay's Yellow. :s

Was it on MTV2? Because it seem to put Keane : Somewhere only we know to every song they played when he had nothing to do with the song, whoever he/she/it is.

I gathered they were a pretty new band as I hadnt heard of them before seeing this song on the tv, so dont really know much about them. But as you say, I too instantly loved this song. I especially like the Piano in the music, which is something im not always too bothered about.

Being mainly into Rock/indie music, theres not always a great deal of new songs Ilike, but there has been a fair few recently. Snow Patrol's song Run is another one I like too.
