I was wondering if you could help me out. I have a new PC and i dont want to screw anything up on it, i was wondering if i could make sometype of bootable CD, which would recover everything to do with my system. I am running Windows XP Professional, is their a tool built into the Operating System which would allow me to do this?

What i would do (and do do) is get a copy of partition magic and norton ghost, make a partition at the end of the drive then get ghost to copy your main parition over on then if anything go's wrong with the main install you can just copy the ok one back, you may need a lot of hard drive space for this depending on how much you have instsalled in the fisrt place, i have 600gb of hard disk drive space and only back up my main windows as i hope all the films and mp3's stay intact.
