Crunch match in the future of gaming this evening! I am sure many of you are keen likers of music as well as games!

BUT of which do you prefer?

A few months ago I would have said games for sure but now I am well into music and am spending most of money on albumns!

Indeed yes.

Back in 1997 Supergrass' 'In It For The Money' album was the perfect soundtrack to Squares 'Chrono Trigger' on the SNES.

Now whenever I hear anything from that album, I link it to Chrono!

I get bored with music after about a week of buying a new album - Games last a lot longer, but tend to frustrate me more!!

Good games have music in them.
Good music doesn't have games it.
Therefore Games usually win.

However, some Games I prefer to play along with some of my existing music, like with Destruction Derby I'll normally play with Green Day blasting out, and with Gran Turismo I'll put some Fluke or other trance music on just to liven it up, especially in the endurance races, where the same repetitive tune going over and over can get annoying.

Playing Unreal Tournament with Eminem on has to be experienced, it's a very good merge of two equally violent genres, and the best match I ever found was playing Driver with a Lalo Schiffrin album on (he did the music for Bullet and many other private eye type films in the 70s).
