Is it possible to connect a VCR to your PC and "rip" the flick?
Not for illegal purposes (obviously) I just want to watch "Transformers : The Movie" without having to get my VCR out of the shed.
Plus I've got around 30 videos which I'd be happy to get onto DVD. I hate videos, I mean they're like cassetes. Not quite crap or old enough to have that aura of "retro cool" like Vinyl or old reels...

If your card supports TV in, you'll need something similar to this.

And depending on your setup you may need one of these http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/AD006.html

My old company had a pci card with video input for marketing purposes (this is a good few years ago now) so yes, and I can't imagine then costing too much.

Heh. On a science paper, it did actually say "bum" instead of "burn".
I completely missed that.
