Obviously not that one, the auction hasn't ended yet, but the same model from the same seller.

Heh cool.

Joe Satriani did a song once where he shredded on a mandolin. One of the funniest things I've ever heard.

An electric trumpet? I think what you really need there is an electric lung.

£62, plus P&P. I was watching different auctions for ages waiting for a low price to come up, but they all ended at around that. But having said that the one I've linked to looks like it might break that trend.

Anyway, it's still a bargain over shop prices - this model would cost about £100.

It sounds really nice, but the frets are so small compared to guitar. I made a little comparison earlier, and the first fret is roughly the size of the 11th or 12th fret on a guitar.

And not learning how to play it didn't stop me buying it. :) I've had a guitar for a while, and after zero lessons I'm somewhere between brilliant and terrible. Erring towards.....well, you can guess, probably. Never had any mandolin lessons either, just thought it would be a good instrument to try and learn. There are quite a few Led Zep songs that feature mandolin, in fact more than I realised when I bought it, so that should keep me going for a while.

For how much? Looks a bit pointless. Like a steel guitar.
