answer: the indrema console.

I just brought a ps2 and I am damn pleased with it. Not only is the dvd sound quality superb and games line up outstanding but multiplayer games like quake let you have up to 32 players with iLink! Plus a lot more hidden features yet to see daylight

Until the other day I thought ps2 could wipe out x box and gamecube with its forthcoming 40Gb hard drive and its 100Mps Broadband compatable ethernet connection.

That was until I saw the indreema console.
Heard of it? I doubt it. You've all got your heads clouded by how amazing the x box is gonna be or how the 'girly-gamecube' is shaping up.
The indrema console has the vision of the ps2 with a lot more ability. Its a complete home entertainment unit, and its stats show this:

Hardware DVD Decoder
High definition video output supporting component Y,Pr,Pb.
Sound:

Two-channel analog left/right
Multi-channel digital audio output for Digital Surround Sound
Digital surround output
OpenAL 3D positional audio API Support
Operating System:

Linux
Main Memory:

64 MB of RAM
CD-ROM Drive:

4x DVD Drive with playback support, 10 GB Hard Drive
On-board Modem:

Ethernet
56K V.90 Modem Optional
Network:

100 MBps Ethernet, DSL and Cable modem support
Controllers:

Optional wireless keyboard
Ports:

1 Composite Video IN/OUT
1 S-Video IN/OUT
1 Component HD Video OUT
2 RCA-Type Audio IN/OUT (Stereo L+R)
1 Toslink Optical Audio OUT
2 Rear USB Peripheral Ports
4 Front USB Game Controller Ports
1 RJ 45 for 100 TX Ethernet

that says it all. Want to find out more? visit www.indrema.com and see what this little silver box has up its sleeve.

They are not experienced enough, and they have no third party support to do such thing.

"Hardware makes good games not."

Old brain proverb.

"As for third parties, Indreama suck."

New brain proverb.

Ok, the specs are reasonable, but nothing THAT amazing. The only big thing that sticks out to me is that it runs Linux as its OS, A GOOD THING!

As has been already said, because theres no hype around it, no-ones heards of it, i fear it will fall beside the wayside, another AMiga CD-32, or Atari Jaguar......

The Indrema will be an excellent system, and if it's good enough, then I may be one to purchase it.

BUT, with the PS2 and Dreamcast going quite well at the moment (especially with the DC being so cheap,) and with the GameCube and X-Box coming out, I think the Indrema will be shoved aside.

Hopefully not, though.

Ha! Haven't heard of it?!

The Indrema Entertainment System has been around for months, news of it anyway. There is now way that this machine will have any chance of comparing with the PS2 GC or X-Box. The money and advertising just isn't there!

Indrema have about as much chance of dominating or even having a big effect on the market as SNIPER does of winning Gameaday with one of his tacky moaning one-liners. Or as much chance as Huddersfield do of winning the Premiership!

I.E - THEY HAVEN'T EVEN GOT A CHANCE!

Indrema ES is the next CD-i, I guaran-damn-tee it!
