"Number one" has lost all meaning now anyway.

It was appalling back then as well. But I am so glad that it kept Westlife from number one if it prevented them from equalling or beating or lengthening their consecutive number ones record.

the song was ok 6 years ago but its crap now but it kept westlife from number 1 so its not all bad and its for charity

I'd be outraged, but it's for charity, so meh. Can't complain.
Since when has anyone cared about the charts anyway? This is no more unusual than the normal crapness.
