Because he cares not for the football, anymore, but for the money.

We'll see... When he signs on the dotted-line in a £40m move to Stamford Badge! :P

And to support that comment, from Arsenal.com...

Wenger - Let's give Cygan some credit
By Richard Clarke

Arsène Wenger has paid tribute to one of the Arsenal players least likely to hog the headlines - Pascal Cygan.

In recent weeks, the previously-unheralded Edu has come to prominence with impressive displays and important goals.

Centre back Cygan is interested in stopping rather than scoring and, according to his manager, has been an important cog in his side's tight defensive machine this season.

Statistics support the theory. During Cygan's 900 minutes of Premiership football this season, Arsenal have conceded just four goals. He was also on duty for the 5-1 victory at Inter, undoubtedly the performance of the season.

"Pascal is a guy who does not get enough credit," said Wenger. "He came in and Toure played at right back for a long time earlier this season and the defence was as solid as ever."

The Grimster was a legend during our last Double-winning season, and did a very capable job to help us through a bad injury spell.

> Nelson Vivas

Granted, he was utter toss. Never did like him.

Hot and cold. Can be a liability, but on his day he's as solid and dependable as any defender. You just don't know what you're going to get until he takes to the field!

> Oleg Luzhny

Played a valuable role on more than one occasion, though he was past his best when we bought him.

> Igor Stepanovs

Has had one or two outstanding performances, but generally... I'd agree.

> Sylvian Wiltord

I still see Wiltord as a valuable player. When he gets a good run in the first team, he scores some great goals. Sadly, I don't think he'll be at Arsenal much longer.

So... two definite no-hopers, and some unpredictables.

At least they didn't cost us £120 million! :-)

They should drop him.

Inter have lost 3 on the trot without vieri scoring in any of those games.

They really should have beaten Milan though after being 2-0 up at HT. Idiots.

Manu Petit was brilliant for the first two seasons he spent at chelsea. He has been injured pretty much since the start of the season, but the one game he came on at half time in, he won man of the match and all chelsea fans know how much the side misses him. He and Lampard had formed a great partnership in midfield, and although Makalele is a quality player, we really need manu to get fit again. soon.

And why not. Everyone else does.

It's like a gathering place for under-acheiving no-hopers!

And they turn quality players into bench-warming also-rans. Look at the difference in Manu Petit. He was a far better player at Arsenal. Now he can hardly get a game. Chelsea broke him!

Haven't they spent enough on bench-warmers?

;-)

I heard that he's lost his desire to play for inter and wants a move, and that's why he never celebrates.

Come to chelsea son.

He fell out with the fans and has refused to celebrate since.
