Basically, the square on the bottom left of games (you should see a link to www.pegi.info - hint hint) tells you the recommended age rating, and on the back some stupid symbols on what the game involves. This is not law, though some companies are strict and won't allow the liddle kiddies to take away a game even if it had an 11+ rating or whatever.
THe next step up is the BBFC rating - this is law, and companies are supposed to turn down underage people buying it; though it never stopped most of us. These are games that are usually rated to get more publicity, but are more strict with their ratings.
Why do people keen talking about the age in the blue square and the age in the red circle I keep getting mixed messages about what the law is. Is there not a certificate and a skill level?
