Because of the stats being reset alot of people have been quiting over the simplist of things and as a result of this ive gone from lvl 13 to 11! and im PO'd! i hope there reset now!

brute shot is my favorite wep and was even befor the update.it takes out vehicles in about i second(im the best shot ever!) and it keeps people away from rockets in almost every map.
ive always been good with granades too and i get most of my kills using them.i love the new plasma explosion!!!!i nailed a guy with a stick to the head yesterday and he went flying lol

brute shot is my favorite wep and was even befor the update.it takes out vehicles in about i second(im the best shot ever!) and it keeps people away from rockets in almost every map.

They said the downloads would available to users at different stages depending on location, perhaps the changes only take effect once everyone has been given the opportunity to download the update.
Try it in 2 days time and see if it's all kicked in properly, not even sure how the update works (can non-updated players play updated players because they can't get the update yet?). Perhaps some of the people you fought hadn't had the update yet and were still more resistant to melee damage etc.
I suppose it dpends on whether they've weakened defence or upgraded weapon damage. If it's the weapons then the update should have made it better regardless of whether the opponents have it yet or not. :S

Well I was reminded tonight of why I don't play Halo 2 online. With the update out today I thought that maybe whatever it was I didn't like would be solved and I'd find the game fun.
Got the update and........ no......... it still tends to smell. I'd like to know if theres some special angle I have to melee from to take out someone whose dual wielding. Or even someone with a single SMG. Sneaked upto this guy from the side and pounded on him with a battle rifle. After 2 hits, he acknowledged that I was there, stood on the spot and started shooting me with his single SMG. I clobbered this bloke 4 times !!!! And yet, I was the one who ended up on the floor (followed by the usual yank trash talk I love so much - feckin yank nerd freak).
Another level, I get the Brute shot which I hear through rumours isn't completely bloody useless, shoot this guy 3 times at almost point blank range and again, I'm downed by the mighty single SMG.
As for grenades, pretty much just as useless as ever. So I went out with the idea of running round with different weapons and having a good time, but somehow ended up with my usual SMG/Plasma Rifle combo. Oh and spent most of the night dumped in teams that treat every gametype as slayer. Always fun being the only mong defending against the whole opposing team or trying to capture the flag, etc on you're own.
Anyway, I've learnt my lesson, back to decent Live games. Oh and you still get yank fecktards using the standby cheat on most games.
