I thought of getting PC3200, but then I heard that PC2700 runs faster with a 333fsb processor. Can someone answer this for me? It's always nicer to have opinions from dedicated computer builders.
If you have 400 MHz RAM, aka PC3200, running on a 333 MHz FSB motherboard, then the RAM will only run at 333 MHz. However it does still have the capability to run at 400 MHz.
333 MHz RAM, or PC2700, whatever you want to call it will run at 333 MHz. But it won't run at 400 MHz. Well at least, it isn't designed to.
On a 333 MHz board, they would run at the same speed. But I would go for the PC3200 stuff because it means that you can overclock more easily. With an NF7, overclocking is easy. All you would do is set the FSB a bit higher. With PC3200 RAM it would still run. With PC2700 RAM it might not.

I believe if it's a 333 then you run PC 2700, 400 then PC 3200, 133 = PC 2100 ( I think) hope this helps!
