What disc would i need to use for the SlimLine PS2 to anable me to watch all region DVDs?
I've heard that the Blaze Region Free and Datels Region X are not compatible with the new SlimLine PS2.

Well if you've "heard" it then it must be true. You should probably find out for sure.

Google for 'Magic Switch' - it allows you to play Import and backups on a slim PS2, so I'd imagine it'll allow region-free DVD play too.
