So here's the question.
How did we make the evolutional link between stones and guns, horses and cars, abacuses and computers???
If you think about it, its pretty obvious that from just throwing stones and speara we thought about creating the catapult, but when, how where and why did the originator of the gun come up with the idea? Fair enough a catapult is a bloody great huge thing, but a gun, well that just fits into your hand. Same goes with cars and hordses. Again, pretty obvious we realised that we could train animals to do things for us/with us, i.e travel, hunt etc.. But where did we get the idea of putting six bloody great horses into a little metal box powered by cylingers?
And the abacus to a computer, well I'm not even gonna go there.
Surely all this technological advancement (especially in the last hundred years) is shrouded in suspicious circumstance. I meanas a race we're pretty resourceful, but the idea of us just suddenly thinking of all these new technological advancements!
Little alien helpers?

Whaddya think?

When you look at a huge, impressive invention, such as a space shuttle, you may think to yourself - There's no way man could have created that.

But remember that each new invention is based on many others that preceed it.
Radio, miniturisation, electricity, fossil fuels + thousands of other inventions went into creating this new invention, the space shuttle.
In the future, there will be inventions that base themselves on the space shuttle technology, but pushing it further by combining it with another invention - perhaps suspended animation - to create a planet transport or something.

Gunpowder and steel as well as physics are some of the inventions that went before making a gun.
The chisel had to be invented before the wheel...

Anyway, I firmly believe that aliens arn't helping us, but we are creating everything off our own backs.

i reckon the first invention was probably the idea of weapons.. Clubs etc. Followed by lanuage of some sort. Hmmmmm back to work!
