I thinks it's time you went to the local superbowl...
I went the other day to see a section lined up with 20 networked PC's. Yes, you can now take your friends out to have a deathmatch! It's £4.50 per person per hour!
During that hour you get to play multiplayer on one of many games. They have a Quake style game (I didn't check which one), a fotball game, a command and conquer style game.
So if you and your friends want to have a 20 man deathmatch with no lag, full speed gameplay and for only £4.50. I've not actually tried it yet but it sounds great to me.
There's team games, leagues and I'm sure Super bowl will come up with lots of new ideas as it becomes more popular!
Now even the casual gamers can fully enjoy a 20 man quake deathmatch (because lets face it. If you're willing to pay phonebills, get past network problems for an internet game, you can't possibly be a casual gamer.)
Social PC Gaming! Who'd have thought it!
And £4.50 is a lot but now cheaper than having a night out elsewhere!
Needless to say, they went bankrupt in a month.
Fun while it lasted though. Even though there isn't 16 people in Pembroke that actually know how to use a PC.
