"2K Games announced today it will publish Croteam's Serious Sam II, the sequel to the quick-and-dirty (and undeniably fun) first-person shooter. The second chapter is scheduled to hit Xbox and PC this fall.
"Our second generation Serious Engine allows us to create characters with over 100 times more detail than the last game," said Roman Ribaric, CEO of Croteam. "This has allowed us to create huge, lush environments and even crazier enemies than before, without having to scale back the gameplay in any way. Gamers can rest assured that with the capabilities of our new engine, we're not only going to match the record we set with the first Serious Sam for the most enemies on screen at one time, we're going to surpass it."

Fingers crossed we get it on Xbox 2 as a launch title as well.

Yeah the second chapter was full of weird little jokes and references.

Hopefully they'll have more varied areas like they did with the 2nd chapter, the egyptian setting in the 1st began to grate after a while.

Daft bonuses hidden everywhere are needed again.

I loved killing Santa stuck in the chimney.

Hopefully they'll make some more of those excellent co-op characters.

Pirate Pete, Fast Feet Freddy and all others had me and my friend crying with drunken laughter.

Yep.

We're still not getting the one the Cube and PS2 got though.

Always thought that was quite odd. I'll just get it for the cube for 5 quid now anyway.
