"Pancake Day: pass the Gravy!"

I think Pancake Day is a day for experimenting new tastes, on a pancake. Last year, I chopped a load of bananas up, poured some treacle on the pancake, and chucked the banana slices on top. This was nice, but rather sickly.

But a rare treat for me- what I have every year- is a savory pancake. Stick your lemon jif bottle where the sun doesn’t shine. Toss your chocolate sauce out of the window. Savory pancakes are the best.

Gravy is the stuff I have on mine. Beef gravy mainly. Pour some gravy in the middle of your cake, fold it over cut it up, and then eat it. What’s wrong with that?

And before you start moaning, let me just tell you that Pancakes are fried Yorkshire puddings. And what do you have on your Yorkshire puddings? Normal people have gravy- not syrup.

So maybe the brave people in the audience today would like to step up, and try this juicy, gravy pancake. In fact, have a few, fill your boots, and for after’s, have a sweet pancake.

TYou say you put it in the middle of the pancake, so how is it a topping?

I put archives in mine.

I put it on the top then :P the fold it over.

Gravy?

aye lad, gravy.

I usually use jam or golden syrup. However, I think that this year, just to be different, I'll use marmite.

Or, if I'm drunk, cat biscuits. :)

Do it sraight back into the pan and you can cook it again.
