During the late 80's and early 90's I followed Arsenal home and away to virtually all matches. Rocky was a huge favourite with the fans. Not only was he very talented but the guy ALWAYS gave 100% to the cause. He was very influential in the title wins of 89 and 91 (especially 89).
I was gutted for him when Bobby Robson axed him from the 1990 World Cup squad right at the end (he was one the last four to be removed from the initial squad picked for the tournament).
Four most memorable Rocky moments :
1. Scoring the last minute winner in the 2-1 Littlewoods Cup Semi Final replay against Spurs.
2. Hitting a scorcher against Liverpool at Anfield in a 1-1 Littlewoods cup draw.
3. Beating four players and curling a shop into the top corner (at Highbury against Middleborough).
4. Having the guts to hit Norman Whiteside with a full blooded punch up at Old Trafford (how many players did that ?).

I'm not an Arsenal fan, but I still consider this to be a great loss. He certainly was an entertaining player.

We heard the news on the way to the game and it cast a real shadow over the day's proceedings. By all accounts he was a genuinely nice human being as well as an extremely talented footballer. I'm sure that all football fan's thoughts will go out to his young family.
As an Arsernal fan I would like to thank the Spurs fans who (with just one, quickly silenced exception) remained respectfully silent for the tribute to Rocky before the kick off.
