On Mozilla 6 or whatever the hell it was (the newest one), there was an email thing built in that checked your emails automatically, and told you when you had new ones.

Is this possible with Firefox?
Cheers.

I stand corrected... Just can't keep up with the Mozilla project these days! I will now investigate Thunderbird as OE/Outlook really get on my nips after a while!

In the new weekly build you can change the store folders.

Small question about Thunderbird...

I'm continually switching between 3 OSes (all windows based), can Thunderbird be configured to use the same mail files/store? ie, 3 installations of Thunderbird all reading and writing email to the same place. If not, anybody know of a client that does?
Outlook Express is pretty stubborn about such things so if I want to keep all my email in one place (without having to import it all the time) I have to stick to one OS for email which is slightly annoying.

Thunderbird is the new Mozilla mail client, which can be set to check your mail for you every X minutes and alert you, and using the "thundertray" program will run it from the tray, so can be left running all the time.

Firefox is purey a browser and will always remain as a browser, that is the whole point of the project. If you want an email client you have to use Mozilla.
