i must say i agree with the one known as 'PAGEY' he is correct about the ps 2 in every way it is basicly crap!

now i think that playstation x was amaizing even now while its getting old and worn out it can still please us with its pretty colours and jam packed action. now the playstation 1 was an utter downer. it was the wrong shape so it couldn't fit in my space station logic 3, and it was a bogus white colour and good god i could go on. playstation 2 i have'nt had the privledge of seeing except for teken tag. i though that was quite good seeing that i hate the teken series. i caught a glipse of an nba game on ps2 and it looked so real i couldn't believe my eyes. the graphics are amaizing thats all i have to say, so if you have one or have played on more games please tell me why it is so crap? i was gonna buy one but i think ill stick with a pc and mabey later ill buy a ps2.

I think that this info and the fact that the only console available to buy that comes anywhere near it is the nearly extinct dreamcast proves that the PS2 is by far the best console around.
But when the Xbox and the Gamecube are released though this may be no longer true, unfortunately.
But I dont think SSX will ever be beaten (except by SSX:DVD edition)

How dare you come onto the PS2 forums and start yelling out that it is rubbish! It is really un called for! Do you know why I think people say things like these? I think its because they are jealous. You get the mature gamers who are honest enough to say that the console they don’t really like has got good games out for it at the moment. That goes to show they are not ashamed of their console, and is mature to admit that the PS2 is doing OK.
So, your opinion of the PS2 is that you don’t like it too much. Correct? OK, then don’t purchase it then. Not everyone will agree with you on that the PS2 is “not as cracked up” as it should be.
You made the comment that the PS2 is just a PSX, and in a sense it’s partly true because it plays the PSX games, which is a massive bonus. However, you can’t be serious in saying that the PS2 is not better than the PSX. It is. The PSX is and will be a great console for a long time but the PS2 is a newer version of it. Personally I enjoy PS2 games but that is just IMO
Some people are willing to shell out £300 because they actually like the console. And I don’t blame them. It’s their money and they can do what they want with it. And what is just so bad with the PS2 that makes it so bad? This topic is getting so boring that not many people bother to reply to it, but I felt that I should argue the case for the PS2.
Can’t you just see gaming as what it is: a way of enjoying yourselves. It’s a way to chill out from school/work etc. People play games to relax and to have lots of fun. I just get so annoyed when people rubbish of one anothers console. I just really don’t see the point.

Dreamcast is more of an arcady console where the PS2 is different. The games are more sophisticated on the PS2. I’m not saying this is better or worse than the Dreamcast, just a different style.
This post is not just to you, but to all the people that love to stir up trouble with the slightly tiresome console wars topics. There aren’t many people that do these silly topics, but I’m just trying to make the ones that do understand the true meaning of gaming.
It’s not just about what console has the best graphics; it’s about how much YOU enjoy them. We have been blessed with gaming to have fun. It’s not a chore, we love to play games. And for the people like you who just like to run around shouting “my console is better than yours”. Please lets try to put a stop to this once and for all, how about it?
So come on people, lets stop with the arguing and lets just appreciate the gaming world, and how brilliant it is. Play games to enjoy them, that’s it.
I hope that I have helped change your mind to the PS2, and maybe you shall respect it for what it is. A great computer console. If you continue thinking that it is rubbish, please keep that opinion to yourself.
