My mum asked me today, if she made a site, would there be any way she can get it to show up on the first page of google?
Having never looked into it i had no idea.

Any idea how to do it and what the price would be like?

This also, as Timmargh says, boosts your sites ranking. Try searching google for "miserable failure", and you will see how that works.

Make sure she puts a meta tag with relivant keywords etc on so that it show near the top of the list.
