Not anymore, that all changed last month. IIRC a lot of LAN titles require you to have individual licence per game now too on LAN

Lag is not really related to bandwidth (how many KB/s) but is directly related to latency (response time). I don't know if there is any latency inherent in WLANs, I don't play games on mine. I shouldn't think it'd be a problem.
