Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin, it has everything a melodic introduction building to a dramatic finale with a great guitar solo, magnificent all the way through.

The problem with picking the greatest song in history is after listening to one song for 10 years you get really sick of it but you still like it. I will never however pick a song by the All Saints. They are useless.
