Apologies for the double post - this is in Xbox forum as well but I guess a lot of you don't go in that dark place...
I found out about this from a post in general chat and, being bored, signed up for it.
Anyway, this game, Whiplash, which basically seems to be a platformer involving animals escaping from some experimentation place, looks "different" but in all honest will probably be getting 5/6 out of 10 when reviewed BUT such is the desperation of the publisher they have setup what seems to be a rather good promotion to advertise it at:

You have to register for this crap eBay a like called Swap It Shop by using the Join Swapitshop link at the above URL - it is free. You then go back to that URL and click on Register here, and in theory you'll eventually get a pile of promo junk and the full game to try.
I signed up just out of interest - if you get the stuff for free there is always an eBay market eh? :D If they actually do send the game out for free then we could even get lucky and it will be a retail version (for trade in).
Anyway if anyone does sign up then if you could put my username in the friend who referred you box then that'd be great, it's JoeUK.

True, but bear in mind that by signing up you'll also get the free crap and the game next week... and they don't bombard you with email - I've had two from them since signing up. Go on :D
Not a bad advertising scheme, certainly different. But this name referral thing, reminds me of Outwar.
Yikes, received a padded bag full of the stuff in the post today. And I mean full - posters, stickers, a crappy t shirt, pen (useful) and other junk, plus they're sending the game next week...not bad for free.
