i think gt 3 will not live up to expectation coz its using the same game engine as gran turismo 2 on the ps1. all that has been done is improved graphics and some other extras.
i think i will wait for gran turismo 4 which will be a totally new game and engine made solely for the playstation 2.

GT3 aint even near release and you are talking about 4 and GT4 will obviously have an X-box version.
The engine for GT3 is similar to the PS1 version but has been completely updated; for a start it calculates everything at twice the rate of the PS1 version, and pushes many more polygons per second.
Also, Polyphony Digital were approached by Microsoft to produce for Xbox, but turned them down, making an Xbox version of GT3 or 4 highly unlikely.

you havent played the demo or seen any pics or movies of it have you. GT3 looks and plays amazingly but the sound of the tyres is really annoying as it is the same noise for every car. But they clearly said that there were going to be some major changes to the game before its release. tyhis game will be a definite hit with its amazing reflections and physics. If they do do a completely new engine for GT4 it will probably look like you are watching TV when playing the game. The ps2 is almost certainly capable of lifelike graphics.
