02/19/2004. Around 30 Valencia fans plan to sue referee Pedro Tristante Oliva for awarding a penalty against their team in the final minutes of Sunday's 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.
Oliva handed a controversial spot kick to the Menengues for an alleged foul by Carlos Marchena on Raul.
"We want the error to be publicly acknowledged and compensation paid as professional negligence has been committed," the fans' lawyer Andres Sanchis said.
The supporters want one euro each in compensation.

If you think that was controversial, a few years ago in an Inter Milan - Juventus match Juve got a very soft penalty.
They scored it. A few minutes later Inter should have had one as well. A definite. It appeared to have been seen and ignored by the ref. In fact the uproar about it was so great that an afternoon was spent in the Italian parliament about what should happen.
