The Italian job for example, what a load of ballsocks. I've downloaded both the teaser and trailor and keep watching it because it looks kick ass. Although, if you watch them very carfully and look through each frame with it paused, it looks as though the zombies run, which would suck but it still looks great.

As it's a remake of a Romero movie, is he getting any money from it? If going to watch this means Dead Reckoning can get made, I may well go see it.

Running Zombies are all well and good, in Return of the Living Dead they rocked. But this is supposedly a Romero remake, one of the things I loved about the original dead trilogy was the way the dead slowly shambled around. Seemingly useless on their own, but in large number they were lethal.
To remove that from Dawn of the Dead is an absoloute load of twaddle. Next thing they'll be telling us that you don't have to shoot them in the head anymore to kill them. It's clear from the trailer that the whole film will be geared around catering for acme ridden teens that aren't looking for storyline or character development, they just want to know "How many killing does it have?".
And running zombies, I have no problem with it if it's explained properly, I just find the idea of rotting corpses running about the place a tad, stupid.
Sure, running zombies which is quite impossible but as I read from an interview with another director who was FOR the film, he said something like this
'Running zombies, so what? We don't know for a fact that if zombies were real they'd not be able to run and we only believe what wev'e been told or grown up with. Maybe they get a power even if they're dead which would allow them to run. If you can believe in such silly things as zombies, I'm sure you can bend your imagination a little.
Just a shame they had to call it a remake of Dawn of the Dead, from what I've seen it bares very little in common with the original film. Out goes the social commentary, in comes CGI Zombies that run and jump, and Ving Rhames.

Of course, and the original "Dawn of the dead" was Shakespearian in its execution.

It may seem like a little thing but it's enough to kill any anticipation I had for the film, which wasn't very much in the first place. Sure the infected in 28 days later ran, but that's the thing, they weren't dead merely infected with a disease that turned them into crazed lunatics, so what will the explanation be for this remake? How will they explain how rotting corpses can run?

So To avoid hassle, I just wrote in a terrible remake.
but Oceans 11 was brilliantly stylised...
