It was certainly better than I expected but that isn't really saying much. It was just another nail in the ever growing Elmstreet coffin which really should have been buried a long time back. It wasn't as corny or cheesy as I expected but then again as soon as I loaded up Evil Dead 2 followed by Evil Dead Trap it really did put the film in its place. Wasn't scary or phycological in anyway but it was quite funny at times. The boddy snap in the bed by Jason near the beginning was funny as hell. Ending battle was a bit pants and it goes to show that even the Director can't take the series serious anymore.
Overall though a lot better than I imagined but it will be very quickly forgoten.

That's the trouble nowadays, films are trying too hard to be clever, or tongue in cheek. Take Jason X for example. It was more of a spoof than a horror film.

I havent watched the special features yet. Some good quotes "Got your nose" "Why wont you die!!" Jason looked more impressive than the one I saw last night in Part 5. Worked well for me even though I hadnt seen the other films, made me think about the possibility of a Alien Vs Predator movie.
Ending wasn't so great could have been better. I wonder if they'll do another one.

Jason is from Friday 13th series and Freddy Krueger is from the Nightmare on Elmstreet series. Halloween is Michael Myers.
We have it on DVD I thought it was quite good, although I havent seen any Freddy and Jason movies before (dont know why)
What are the films they've been in? I thought Friday 13th Part blah were Freddy movies but on Sky they showed part 3 and 5 (last night) and they were Jason. Although not the Jason I knew this Jason was like a normal guy he didnt seem tough at all. Also I didnt realise how old the series was. Part 3 was made in like 82 or 83 and looked very dated. Hmm wasn't there a Halloween H20 movie, was that Jason too? Sorry have absolutely no idea. ^^ baka
