...for a system with Windows 98 SE installed? When I down graded my OS sometime ago the DVD software I had became useless, and now I can't play movies.

Yes but if he has downgraded then there is obviously a good reason! Not every PC will be quicker as XP needs more memory for starters...

Thanks Bell, I've found WinDVD and using it.
Any PC that can play DVDs will not be quicker with Windows98. Also it clearly came with WindowsXP as the DVD sofwtare must have come with that.
Duh, he said he DOWNGRADED his software, not that he wants to upgrade. Windows XP is nice but if you have an old PC or don't use it for much then you don't have to have the latest OS.
I used to use Win DVD with Win 98, though you can download trials for all the major software and I *think* the latest media player for windows does DVD- with the bonus being it is free...maybe Realplayer too.
