I decided to watch that film last night - brought back some childhood memories.

It seems Michael Westmore's aliens weren't as up to scratch as other movies he did around the time though.

Brilliant nostalgia-inducing movie.

Phah! I hated the way it switched to a real world setting to cut down on budget. Cheap, chaep, cheap.

Still. Its semi enjoyable tat ;)

I did have a recording of its premiere on UK TV, and being set on a video timer, there was the end of Blue Peter, a Cliff Richard song, and Andi Peters with Edd the Duck in the CBBC Broom Cupboard - though I watched the DVD this time :D

The movie was gneius if you were a kid and loved the cartoon - it was more intense, had an excellent fast paced soundtrack which all kids like, poor 80s haircuts which made he-man stand out as the cool one, and Skelator was really evil and clever in his planning, but focused on his obsession with he-man.

Plus, Skelator was winning in the very beginning of the film, which left out a boring start to the film which would have stopped kids watching.
