Because they're truly as rare as they come - The most valued and precious.
I can see myself when I peer into it,
I can see the true love and care involved in it's creation.
That particular Gem wandered into me,
And the radiance of the sunlight hit it's body,
Splitting it into thousands of wonderful things,
Thousands of colours and emotions,
Showing me up close things I never thought I'd see.
When the fools and the ignorant look into it,
They can't see the things I can;
A beautiful crystal that melts minds,
One that sends chills of excitement ripping through your heart.
Whilst the other Jewels and Diamonds sell themselves for cash,
This one has no value on it's head.
You pay in love, not money;
And it's a currency that few know of.

This poem was inspired by a certain special person....i'll leave you intelligent-minded people to figure out the jist of it.

> You fancy a 14 year old girl named Gemma.
er, no
It's all lovey dovey symbolism.
> The currency is love or something similar.
Well done for spotting that - e'en though it actually says so in the poem...
They're really nice, and smart, and good company.
But pretty ugly:
> When the fools and the ignorant look into it,
> They can't see the things I can;
> They're really nice, and smart, and good company.
> But pretty ugly:
up to the 'pretty ugly' part, you were almost spot on.
