So, if any of you could answer the following question it'd be helpful. It's not a major section of the work but it would be great to have some comments from real gamers rather than quoting some idiots from various academic style gaming works.
Question: Would you not buy/play a game because it was assumed to be a male game? Traditional male games are seen as those involving fighting, racing and so on.
I'm assuming most of you wouldn't give a toss which sex the game looked like it was aimed at and that you'd buy/play whatever you liked the look of or enjoyed based on personal preference.
And what do you mean to defend women? I don't geddit..

Most games are assumed to be a male game really, you don't really get games aimed at females unless they're some stupid barbie game or something similar. I buy racing games, football games etc, if i didn't buy these there wouldn't be a whole lot left to choose from, so I guess I couldn't give a toss that the game is aimed at a male audience, I'd still buy it.
