What are they? I'm seeing news sites and even mail order companies using them. I'm not 100% sure but I think they're some online bookmarking website, where you can save these pages? Or is it something more than that?

Digg, I think, people submit articles to and then vote on them based on interest or whatever. No idea about the other one
