I have a DELL computer and when I go into the BIOS with the F2 key (well, I think it's the BIOS. It's called SETUP) there's only one blue page. There's quite a few things on this page like boot sequence, system time, cpu speed, memory info, etc, but I've noticed that only one option for each item can be changed. Like under "memory infomation" the AGP aperture size can be changed but the "system memory speed" can't. I was wondering if this was because I'm not in the BIOS or if simply DELL has put some sort of block on overclocking?
I've heard when people talk about the BIOS that there are a few page screens to it, but on my computer there appears to be only one.
I can't seem to change the speed of anything there. All the things with speed is coloured in blue and can't be changed.

I don't think anyone here is going to dispute this
So I built my own mini-mega monster and have never looked back since.
I dont mean to start world war 3 here, but Dell is for the unambitious consumer that gets told "This is the best on the market" and calmly accepts it.
For the modders and tweakers out there, Dell sytems might as well have a great big sign reading "Clear off"...

I bet you get all the girls
1) Aforementioned problem with parts.
2) Technical support is in some foreign hell hole, think India from the sounds of it, and they really do know f**k all.
3) Soundcard I paid for, despite costing same as a retail version, turned out to be a special DELL OEM one for which there were no Windows XP certified drivers, hence crackling etc in games. Had ot go buy a retail version because it was impossible to get through to moron technical support what the problem was.
If anyone reading this is relatively new to PC's then do not buy from Dell as the moment you need tech support you are well and truly screwed. Luckily I know enough about stuff to not have to ring them.
