Consoles are famous for being released awith initally better graphics than the PC but over time the PC overtakes, do you think consoles will become more upgradable a 4MB expansion pack or will this be moving away from their beautiful simplicity?
Personally I believe consoles to be a plug in and play system, I wouldn't want to fiddle around with various graphics card, each with their own advantages and disadvantages however a system like the X-box will no doubt be upgradable so the question is will it catch on?
Consoles are unfortunatley becoming more and more like the PC all of the time with CDs, internet capabilities, windows.
Perhaps the appeal to me of the dolphin is that it is a gaming machine pure and simple, no fancy DVD or backwards compatability, just what I came out to buy, something I can stick a game in and play!

I agree if people wanted to upgrade their machine then they would buy a PC. The good thing about having a Playstation you know if you buy a game it will run. You don't have to check the spec and worry whether your processor is going to be to slow... and if it runs will it be Slow.
Knowing the game will run is the beauty of consoles, you don't have to worry about drivers etc. and all the money you spend will be on games.
