I said it was quicker to load, not faster :)

I was in a sarcastic mood when I wrote that; obviously I didn't want to make it too obvious that what I said was a load of bull, so I made it sound rather convincing.

Personally I use two styles for different purposes; HTML and CSS for simplicity and ease of access for info sites, and full on Flash for more art orientated sites. Having said that, I've only built one so far, so that policy is untested at the mo.

Apart from the Javascript stuff, I'm guessing they're 'having a laugh' there...

Javascript stuff is annoying and slows things down.

And were you serious about Frontpage sites taking longer to load?

Even if it did take longer, it would probably be a millisecond or so...

Each character is only a byte...

Frontpage is fine. It's just that people only use the WYSIWYG features of FP and DW and with that DW wins. Frontpage was designed as being a WYSIWYG program while DW is built better for hand coding...

Learn to use HTML, takes about an hour to learn how to make a basic layout, it's easy.

I would write it in HTML, if not that then just do it in Frontpage.
