He was a legend of a player and I was fortunate to see him play with a host of football legends at a charity match, I also managed to get his autograph and have dinner with him in the evening.
He is a great man and a true fighter on the pitch. Lets hope he overcomes this and beat's the terrible illness.
My thoughts are with his family & friends.
I did this Footie training thingy which he was coaching at the end of it I got an autograph from him, it was quite a long time ago but i remember him being very polite.
I read in the Liverpool ECHO today though (and I'm sure it was in various other papers) that he is on the road to recovery already.
I just wish the best for him, and everyone concerned with him.
