Excellent game, can see where the comparisons with Halo came from. But the cutscenes are pure pony. They're, quite frankly, ruddy rubbish. Glitches, spasms, and some of the worst character animation I've seen in a game. It's meant to have the personality of Henry Rollins, but it's more like Dusty Bin. And what do they treat you to when you complete the game? ANOTHER F**KING CUTSCENE!!! I couldn't believe it. You get used to skipping the cutscenes after a while, and I didn't even realised I'd finished the game until it went back to the start screen. That was it - it reverted to the start screen. No reward, no fanfare, not even credits!
So I went back to my last save point and watched the final cutscene, thumb hovering over the "skip" button. And it was rubbish. Not just in the technical sense that the animations were rubbish, what actually happened was rubbish too. I stopped something important, like a fraud or something, and the bit characters that died through the game came back and gave me a crappy thumbs-up. Look at my face. LOOK AT IT! Can you see the dissappointment? What a crappy ending. I feel robbed.
